This research was aimed at studying the physical and mechanical properties of hollow concrete blocks, made in appropriate places in the districts of San Sebastian and Wanchaq in Cusco, and improving the construction process. The hollow concrete blocks are a material that is a mixture of sand, small gravel cement and water that are produced either by a vibrating table or the cinva-ram machines and cured by various methods either by watering or immersion. For this study, concrete blocks were made, by improving the curing type from irrigation to a cure by inmersión, in addition sand dosing was improved based on previous research using Design 1: 5: 2 cement, sand and small gravel. Quality control was based on tests performed as dimensional change, warping, compressive strength, absorption and suction. According to the results, the physical - mechanical properties of hollow concrete blocks improve proportionally with the amount of sand used, also found that the best kind of cure to use will be cured by immersion because when this method is performed compressive strength increases. Thus, the building blocks of concrete sand dosing improving qualify as block NP, according to E.070 standard according to their characteristics.
