The present research work had a purpose, was to determine the degree of relationship in the achievement of the profile of graduation and the training competences acquired by the students of the Industrial Engineering Professional School, as well as determining by the differences achievement of the profile between the criteria of mastery and importance for the training competencies that are understood according at 2005 Plan. This is a quantitative study was carried out, with a descriptive – correlational scope, with a non - experimental and cross - sectional design, because on the information obtained first hand, it is not manipulated by the researcher, but is the source of the observation and as such it occurred in a natural context. From the regression results, the research given a 90% correlation and for same reasons, he concluded that there is a high relation between competency training and achievement of the profile for the 2005 Plan, therefore operating this statement is understood as: That is an study of the correlation between the graduation profile and the training in competences, propose to guarantee was a high training in competences is the decision that promotes the increase directly in obtaining a high degree of achieving the profile according to the Study Plan and vice versa. By the partial hypothesis tests for each dimension of the study, the research got concordant results. The research concluded it was done under instruments of the Latin American Tuning Project and adjusted by the natural study unit: our contextual reality, therefore, for its application it had been complemented with other successful studies related to Industrial Engineering.
