the present thesis, proposes the evaluation of levels of service in intersection at the Martín Chambi Oval based on measurable parameters, to propose geometric redesign solutions by measuring the variables that are presented in the study area. For the present work the existing problem is identified in the intersection that is the road congestion, with the objective of evaluating the levels of service, then some existent antecedents are verified, then proceeds to the use of tools for the collection of field data, to finally determine the levels of Service, and with the results obtained to propose alternatives of change of Geometric Design, to improve the Service Levels whose results will be analyzed with the use of national, international technical manuals and specialized software. When evaluating the current situation of the intersection at the Martín Chambi Oval obtaining Level of Service “E” results that led us to propose four alternatives of geometric redesigns that were simulated in the PTV Vissim 9 student version program, reaching excellent levels of service in alternatives one and three. Arriving at the conclusion that a roundabout type redesign alternative for the avenues Agustín Gamarra, Ejercito and San Martin is the most suitable in the short term, another redesign alternative was the implementation of a bypass that directly links the avenues Ejercito with Alameda Pachacúteq and vice versa considering this a long-term alternative.
