This research paper entitled “THE COMMERCIALIZATION AND CONSUMPTION OF AYAHUASCA BY TOURISTS WITH THERAPEUTIC PURPOSES AT THE CUSCO RECEPTOR CENTER“, describes the existing problem involving the ritual and concoction of Ayahuasca in the city of Cusco, for this it was raised as a general problem: How does commercialization influence the consumption of ayahuasca by tourists for therapeutic purposes in the Cusco receiving center? It also describes the current situation of consumption of ayahuasca by tourists in the Cusco receiving center, studied the different motivations for tourists to consume ayahuasca, including topics such as disinformation about ayahuasca, quackery and little mastery of ceremonies Ayahuasca generated by spiritual guides and neoshamans. The controversial introduction of ayahuasca within the tourist activity in the city Of Cusco is a real fact, ayahuasca ceremonies are being marketed within tourist packages by travel agents. For this reason, the current situation of the commercialization of ayahuasca in the receiving center Cusco was studied. The objective of this research section is to know how the marketing and consumption of ayahuasca by tourists is for therapeutic purposes the receiving center Cusco. The methodology that was chosen to develop is a Correlational-Descriptive Research of Mixed Approach The conclusion of the investigation found that 80% of travel agents interviewed sold the ayahuasca ceremony between 100 to 200USD while 20% sold it from 200 to 300 USD. Most of its sales of ayahuasca ceremonies took place in June with 40% and August 30% in 2015.
