The present research work entitled: LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH PREVENTION PRACTICES OF ACUTE RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS OF MOTHERS OF CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS OLD, HEALTH POST LUCRE - CUSCO, YEAR 2017, whose objective It was to determine the Relationship between Level of Knowledge and Practices on Prevention of Acute Respiratory Infections of mothers of children under 5 years old, Lucre Health Post - Cusco, year 2017; being a descriptive, cross-sectional, correlational study. The sample consisted of 98 mothers, who met the inclusion criteria. Arriving at the following results: 84% have good knowledge, 16% have regular knowledge; 89% have good practice, 11% have a regular practice. Mothers are aged between 20 and 35 years old 62%, are living together 68%, come from Lucre 28%, are housewives 72%, have secondary study 44%, have 1 to 3 children 78%, prevailing age of children is from 2 years to over 49%, female children 53%, 56% of mothers correctly answer the definition of ARF, 52% know the causative agent of HAIs, 92% know the signs and symptoms of the disease, 53 % know about the complications of the HAIs, 81% take you to the health post if your child has signs and symptoms of HAI, 81% of the children fell ill 1 to 3 times a year with ARI. Concluding that when finding the Pearson correlation value equal to 0.841 that is greater than 0.05, the decision is taken to accept the null hypothesis that indicates that there is no relationship between the IRAS knowledge level and the practices carried out by mothers of children under 5 years old. In relation to the influence of the first variable on the second one, it is observed by the value of Kendall's Tau-b which is inverse, that is to say that the more knowledge of IRAS the good practices by the mothers of children under 5 years are not of the all good and that the influence is 2% which is a very low value.
