The present thesis developed "Water harvesting and its influence on the main economic activities of the population of women in the rural community of Cuyuni, district of Ccatca, province of Quispicanchis, department of Cusco - period 2022" had its origin in the problematic water shortage that affects the levels of agricultural production, Therefore, the objective was to determine the influence of water harvesting on the main economic activities, which are guinea pig breeding and mushroom gathering of the population of women in the study area. The José Obrero Association - CCAIJO, presented the proposal to carry out the project "rainwater harvesting" in order to promote the economic activity of guinea pig breeding that was already being carried out on a small scale in the community of Cuyuni, and once the project was started, the mushroom harvesting activity was identified due to the effect of planting pine trees for forestation and the humidity generated by the filtration of the micro dam and rain. In both activities the women of the community are the main managers. For data collection, a questionnaire was used as an instrument and a survey as a technique, applied in a census to all the women representatives of each family (60), who carry out both activities, then the SPSS 25 statistical program was used to run the data and obtain the results. The conclusions of the research show a direct and significant relationship between water harvesting and the main economic activities of the women in the community of Cuyuni, using the spearman test where a p value < 0.05 was obtained for both activities, thus accepting the alternative hypothesis.
