This research focuses on determining the maximum value of saturation flow in traffic light intersections of similar geometric design that have high vehicular traffic, which are located along the road corridor of Av. De La Cultura, thus the same priority is to know the true capacity for said road infrastructure; to develop it, in Cusco - Peru, the imprecise US road capacity manual has been used as a reference, named in this way due to the great differences in conditions that exist in that country. This research is original and methodical, aimed at the service of the community for the continuous improvement of the operation on land roads, saving time for the transfer of people mainly and hoping to substantially reduce the rates of environmental pollution. It is intended to provide adjustment values that are more similar to reality, for different types of traffic light intersections, as a consequence it will be possible to provide specialists and authorities for good decision-making and prompt solution of problems related to the heading of the construction and preservation of road building. Each one of the terms used in the research was defined and the procedure to quantify the maximum value of saturation flow in the selected signalized intersections was validated, generating a correlation with the service levels and improvements, variants and adjustments were formulated to perfect the operation for such an important main road. With this research we contribute significantly to a substantial advance in the prompt implementation of a Peruvian road capacity manual adapted to the real needs of our country, which will represent the well-being of the citizen and the legitimate progress of society
