Research framed in the purpose of identifying risk factors present in term pregnant women who present premature rupture of membranes, was guided under the correlational analytical methodology of cases and controls, retrospective, quantitative. Results: The repercussion of premature rupture of membranes in pregnant women is 0.12 per 100 full- term deliveries, that is, 12 out of 100 full-term deliveries presented PROM. The pre- pregnancy risk factors linked to PROM in pregnant women treated at the Hospital Antonio Lorena Cusco, 2018 have the age of [chi 2 2.456 p = 0.023 < 0.05]; occupation [chi 2 3.561 p = 0.011 < 0.05]; provenance [chi 2 1.034 p = 0.037 < 0.05]. The gestational risk factors linked to premature rupture of membranes in pregnant women are number of pregnancies [chi 2 4.671 p = 0.013 < 0.05]; prenatal care [chi 2 8.674 p = 0.017 < 0.05]; history of urinary and/or vaginal infections [chi 2 2.781 p = 0.001 < 0.05].
