TITLE: “Epidemiological and clinical profile of patients diagnosed with Cranial Brain Injury hospitalized in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) service at Adolfo Guevara Velasco Hospital, EsSalud, 2016“. OBJECTIVE: To determine the epidemiological and clinical profile of patients diagnosed with Cranial Brain Injury hospitalized in the ICU service at Adolfo Guevara Velasco Hospital, EsSalud, 2016. METHODOLOGICAL DESIGN: This is a descriptive, retrospective and transversal study; where the instrument used was a checklist, made with the purpose of measuring the dimensions of the study variables. RESULTS: In relation to the epidemiological profile of patients admitted to the ICU at Adolfo Guevara Velasco EsSalud Hospital, 50% of the patients are over 51 years old, 75% of them are male, 25% of them are female, 88.7% could not be asked about religion, 93.2 % are insured of which 65.9% are professionals and 93.2% come from Cusco. In relation to the clinical profile, the Glasgow income of 14 - 15 pts (mild TBI -Traumatism brain injury) was 4.5%, in 81.9% the RASS of admission was -4, -5. In relation to the etiological agent, 36% was due to falls, the hospitalization time was less than 5 days in 61.4%, 52.3% had a high heart rate and 77.3% had a respiratory rate within normal parameters. Concerning the CO2 concentration, 50% maintained normal values, 56.9% had an oxygen saturation of 95-100%. Concerning the mean arterial pressure, 54.5% had an average of 65 - 100mmHg, 75% were normothermic and 52.3% had a normal diuresis within the first 6 hours.
