The companies that provide passenger service between the provinces of Cusco and Sicuani have established a collaborative service system, which is characterized by having and making use of common infrastructure for it, with an agreement regarding alternate frequencies to overcome the overlapping schedules, seeking to guarantee better profitability and avoid unfair competition between them. However, within each organization there is an excessive number of units, which directly affects the use of installed capacity, which directly decreases the levels of operating leverage, as shown by the operating rates analyzed and which have constituted the problematic reality investigated, the which has aimed to determine the situation of the operating leverage in the current conditions in which the service is provided and to know the profitability levels of the companies that provided passenger transport services on this route during the 2019 period. As well as to describe the their financial management. A basic research, quantitative approach, non-experimental design and descriptive scope was carried out, taking as population and sample seven companies, being a census work. Likewise, the results establish that the administrative management, including the financial one, is carried out independently by each company, even though it was evidenced that there is a link between some of them of an administrative and/or family nature. Financial management is not developed based on properly formulated accounting information; the latter is only for tax purposes. It is concluded that the operability of the fleet in service is not controlled, having only a 58% operational index and that if it is rationalized, it could reach up to an 88% operational index, which would generate for investors a positive variation in the Earnings before interest and taxes equivalent to 104%, under such conditions, having a degree of operating leverage of 1.96; which shows that it is necessary to evaluate the operational criteria and integrated financial management to improve the desired economic and financial results, which will be favorable for its development and quality of service.
