Objective: The objective is to determine the knowledge of the students of the Clínica Estomatológica Luis Vallejos Santoni de la Universidad Andina del Cusco about oral cancer, semester 2017-II. Material and methods: The present study is descriptive, observational, cross-sectional, the research focus is quantitative. The population is constituted by 185 students from the Luis Vallejos Santoni Stomatology Clinic of the Professional School of Stomatology of the Universidad Andina del Cusco, studied the knowledge about oral cancer which was dimensioned in five dimensions regarding knowledge about diagnosis, knowledge about etiopathogenesis, knowledge about epidemiology, knowledge about treatment and knowledge about oral cancer prevention, this questionnaire was validated by expert criteria, for the data processing descriptive statistics was used in terms of percentages, the chi square statistic was used, working with a level of significance p <0.05. Results: Knowledge about oral cancer showed that the highest percentage had a poor knowledge with 68.1%, followed by regular knowledge with 28.6%, and in a lower percentage it was for efficient knowledge with 3.2%. In all the dimensions the knowledge was varied between deficient and regular. Conclusions: Oral cancer knowledge, which predominated among students, is deficient.
