Professionals and students of health sciences, mainly stomatology students, are prone to suffer adverse events and occupational accidents due to the medical nature and the clinical procedures that we perform daily, that is why the Biosecurity Norms constitute our best tool to reduce and avoid the risk of infection from cross infections during our daily practice. Objectives: The main purpose of this study is to determine and compare the degree of Application of Biosafety Standards in Seventh Semester Students and Interns of the Professional School of Stomatology of the UAC, in the year 2017. Methodology: This is a quantitative approach study, with observationaltransversal design and comparative-descriptive type. We obtained a sample constituted by 82 students of the Professional School of Stomatology, of which 49 students belonged to the seventh semester and 33 to the boarding school; a questionnaire of 20 questions was applied, which covered 4 aspects: universal precautions, barrier methods, waste management and basic measures against accidents. Result: Once the questionnaire was applied, the results were grouped into 3 groups, which are: IF THEY COMPLY, PARTIALLY COMPLY and DO NOT COMPLY with the Biosecurity Rules. Obtaining that, the degree of application of Biosafety Norms in the seventh semester students was: they fulfill partially 73.5%, if they meet 20.4% and do not meet 6.1%; while in the students of the boarding school we obtained that: they fulfill partially 69.7%, if they fulfill 27.3% and do not meet 3%. Proving that there is no statistically significant difference between the academic semester and the degree of application of Biosecurity Standards. Conclusions: When comparing the degree of application of Biosafety Norms among the seventh semester students and the interns of the Professional School of Stomatology of the UAC, we determine that the students of both semesters partially comply with the application of Biosafety Norms. In this way we demonstrate that there is no direct relationship between the degree of application of these norms and the academic semester of the students.
