The present work entitled “STYLES OF LIFE AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE METABOLIC SYNDROME IN TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF OF THE ANDEAN UNIVERSITY OF CUSCO. 2019” Whose general objective was to determine the lifestyles and their relationship with the Metabolic Syndrome in teachers and administrative staff of the Universidad Andina del Cusco 2019. Study of quantitative, descriptive, correlational, transversal and retrospective type. The population and sample was composed of 105 people between teachers and administrative staff who attended the screening of the metabolic syndrome that was conducted in the topic of the Universidad Andina del Cusco. Within the investigation it was found of the teachers and administrative staff of the Andean University of Cusco 2019 that: 78.1% is between 35 and 59 years old, 67.6% is female, 34.3% is from San Sebastián, 41.0% is living together, 54.3 is a teacher and 45.7% administrative staff. The metabolic syndrome in teachers and administrative staff of the Andean University of Cusco was found that 71.4% maintain a risk to metabolic syndrome and 28.6% have this syndrome. In relation to the lifestyles of teachers and administrative staff of the Andean University of Cusco, it was found that 54.3% have a regular healthy diet, 83.8% perform regular physical activity, 79.0% occasionally consume harmful substances, 89.5% occasionally recreate, 84.8% have regular self-care, 95.2% have vinsuficiente rest / sleep and 58.1% have vinsuficiente stress management. In general it was found that 68.6% have a regular lifestyle, 17.1% have a good lifestyle and 14.3% have a bad lifestyle. When performing the Pearson chi-square statistical test, a statistically significant relationship (p = 0.022 <0.05) could be established between lifestyles with the metabolic syndrome in teachers and administrative staff of the Andean University of Cusco 2019.
