The main objective of the current study is to identify the internal morphology of root canals of upper and lower premolars according to the Vertucci classification in tomography of patients who attended the Luis Vallejos Santoni clinic of the Andean University of Cusco in the period 2019. This research presents a descriptive scope, where the variables are not altered so it is non-experimental, observation is used and there is a cross-section for working only with one time; For the sample, the tomography samples had to be taken into consideration, which in total were 500 provided by the radiology and diagnostic imaging area of the patients, considering the range between 17 and 51 years of age, of both sexes. These samples were studied using a data collection form, thus being the instrument, which contains the Vertucci classification, the aspects of the number of roots, in addition to the number of root canals, general aspects such as sex and age, and it was evaluated statistically with the Chi Square test. With all this, the results were analyzed where it was determined that the internal morphology of root canals of both upper and lower premolars according to the Vertucci classification was type 1 with 70.9% incidence of the total sample. It was also found that the premolars that presented two roots with the highest incidence were pieces 1.4 with 6.8% and 2.4 with 6.9%; the other pieces presented a root in 85%. The premolars that presented a canal in their majority were pieces 4.5 with 12.4% and 3.5 with 12.2%; and those that presented two ducts were pieces 2.4 with 10.9% and 1.4 with 10%. Likewise, the Vertucci classification in upper premolars was analyzed and it was found that type 4 had more incidence in piece 1.4, type 1 for piece 1.5, type 4 for piece 2.4, and type 1 for piece 2.5. In the same way, the lower premolars had a higher incidence of type 1. Other dimensions were also taken into account such as the sex of the patients in which, type 1 classification was found in both genders but there, however in the association with age there was a higher incidence of type 1 in patients from 23 to 28 years of age with 28.4% of the sample.
