The present research aimed to evaluate the wind potential of the Calca district during the period 2017-2022. The research was designed as non-experimental, basic in type, and descriptive in nature. The sample used consisted of wind data collected between 2017 and 2022 from the automated station of the National Meteorology and Hydrology Service (SENAMHI) with code 472976f8, located in Calca, with coordinates Longitude: 71°57'18.85''W and Latitude: 13°19'59.97''S. Data was collected, and wind speed and direction were measured, taking into account temperature and air humidity, which allowed determining the air density. Descriptive statistical analysis was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics V23, and the wind potential was evaluated using the WAsp Climate Analyst 3 software. The results indicated that wind speeds at the study point in the Calca district were insufficient for large-scale wind energy development, with an average speed ranging from 1.28 m/s to 1.9 m/s and an average wind energy density of 7 to 29 W/m2. These results could be useful for mini wind turbines. Although there are areas in the Calca district with higher speeds according to wind atlases, there was no available wind parameter data for their evaluation. In conclusion, the potential energy at the study point of the Calca district during the period 2017-2022 was determined to be capable of providing electrical energy, with an average wind energy density from 7.27 W/m2 to 11 W/m² at 10 meters. above the ground, up to 28.59 W/m2 to 43 W/m² at the height of 100 meters above the ground.
