Introduction: Organ donation is a free, voluntary, disinterested, and altruistic act among human beings with the purpose of improving the health and quality of life of a person so that he/she can continue living. However, the donation rate is very low in our country and many patients have long waiting lists. Objective: To determine the factors associated with the attitude towards organ donation in students of the Universidad Andina del Cusco, 2023. Methods: An observational, descriptive, cross-sectional, correlational and crosssectional study was carried out. A representative sample of 375 undergraduate students was taken from the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Accounting Sciences, the Faculty of Law and Political Science, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, and finally the Faculty of Sciences and Humanities. The survey technique was used to obtain the information, which was validated by the evaluation of experts. Results: 375 students with a median age of 22 years (20-25) participated in the study; 60.8% were female; 92.8% were single, with a median family income of 49.3%; 62.4% identified themselves as Catholics; and 27.2% put "Yes" on their ID card to organ donation. 65.3% had an average knowledge about organ donation and 17.3% had an accepting attitude towards organ donation. The hypothesis test conducted by means of the Chi-square statistical test shows that there is a significant correlation between the level of knowledge with the attitude towards organ donation and beliefs with the attitude towards organ donation. Being the Faculty of Health Sciences with high level of knowledge compared to the other faculties and the Faculty of Administrative and Accounting Sciences with higher attitude of acceptance towards organ donation, followed by the Faculty of Health Sciences. Conclusions: It is concluded that the factors that determine organ donation in the students at the Andean University of Cusco was the level of knowledge and beliefs, since there was correlation with the attitude towards organ donation.
