This research aimed tube to obtain comparative results of the seismic behavior that youexperience the building, “ Pabellón de Aulas Generales de la Universidad Andina deCusco “ by a conventional dual structural system and a system with seismic isolation. First design data for both the case of the conventional structure and the structure obtainedseismic base isolation. the responses were analyzed, showing great difference between the structural systems. However, these results did not reflect a real comparison, since earthquakes accordancewith the rules applied are different from case to case. As a second step and only for purposes of study, as this should not be done in a readesign, comparisons to the structure for the same earthquake were made, that is, in a firstanalysis, a design earthquake conventional structure is applied to both systems structural, his response was obtained and comparisons were made. And in a second analysis I applya possible earthquake to both systems and the behavior that each was observed. It is concluded that the system has better seismic isolation simian behavior. However, the conventional system has the function for which it was designed. To this an important variable is the increase of security that can provide the system withseismic isolation structure.
