The estimation of age consists of establishing, measuring and verifying the processes that take place during the growth of an individual. The objective of this investigation was to estimate the chronological age in adults by means of three dental methods. Universidad Andina Cusco - 2017. We worked with a sample of 30 unirradicular permanent teeth extracted for orthodontic reasons, periodontal disease, adults aged 25 to 80 years, attended in the Dentistry service of the Health Center of “Tupac Amaru“ and the different dental centers Cusco. The methodology was descriptive, observational, quantitative, transversal and prospective, the sample was not probabilistic for the convenience of the researcher, since they were selected according to the selection criteria. As an instrument and materials, a data collection card prepared for the investigation was used, where the necessary information of each dental piece was adequately captured, as well as the respective comparison; This instrument was validated by experts, experts in the Legal and Forensic Area. For the process and data collection we used the SPPS program version 22, descriptive statistics with frequency and percentage distribution were used. The results showed that the Vilcapoma method in the dental group of canines is the most reliable since it presents an overestimation of 5 years and an underestimation of 4 years, in the same way in the dental group lateral incisors the overestimation is of 4 years and the underestimation is 1 year; Not so in the dental group central incisors, where the most reliable method is that of Lamendin since it presents an overestimation of “0“ years and an underestimation of 2 years. Of the three methods the Vilcapoma method has the highest reliability in relation to the two methods.
