In the present investigation we aim to improve the physical - mechanical properties of gypsum with additions of keratin in percentages of 10%, 20% and 30% in partial replacement volume ratio; During the production process of the gypsum paste for the tests established according to standard. The tests were carried out according to UNE -EN 13729-1 and 2, contemplating the evaluation by granulometry that establishes the percentage of coarse particles and the degree of uniformity of these, water / gypsum ratio that establishes the appropriate ratio for a gypsum paste without Additions, to establish standard values, based on the method of flow of the paste determining the values of the relationship water / gypsum with the additions of keratin, so it is established as conditional the runoff within the parameters established by the standard UNE EN 13279 - 2, achieving homogeneity and the starting point for the tests. With the found values of the water / gypsum ratio, the manufacture of the gypsum specimens with the dimensions established in the norm begins, as well as the procedures that are tested seven days after their manufacture, were carried out to determine compression, bending, Brinell hardness, fireproof property and water ascension by capillarity. The results of the tests can be found in the tables and graphs that will represent the roadway in relation to the reference values obtained in the gypsum paste without additions.
