The main purpose of the research was to determine the connection between family dysfunction and school performance in I.E. students. 51022 Diego Quispe Tito from 5th and 6th grade of primary school district of San Sebastián – Cusco 2023. For this, the method was analytical, correlational research level, quantitative approach and a non-experimental cross- sectional design, the unit was of study to the 288 students of the I.E. 51022 Diego Quispe Tito from 5th and 6th grade and obtaining 165 students as a sample thanks to the probabilistic sampling formula. According to the results obtained, it can be seen that they reveal a statistically significant evaluation of 0.912. This finding suggests a strong and positive association between the students' perception of family dysfunction and their academic performance and concludes that it is critical to consider the family environment as an influential factor in school performance. The strong evaluation identified highlights the urgent need to carry out intervention strategies that address not only academic challenges, but also those related to family dynamics.
