The present research work entitled “LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND USE OF THE MULTIMICRONUTRIENTES IN MOTHERS OF BOYS AND GIRLS FROM 6 TO 36 MONTHS, IN THE HEALTH CENTER OF LAMAY, CUSCO - 2017“, had as its overall objective to determine the level of knowledge and use of the multimicronutrients in mothers of boys and girls from 6 to 36 months, in the Health Center of Lamay, Cusco - 2017. The same that arrived at the following results: 47% of surveyed mothers report having ages between 18 and 29 years of age, 66% of mothers is partner, 43% are dependent workers, 50% of mothers only has a son only 44% have between 2 and 3 children, with regard to the monthly income the 54% does not exceed 300 soles, the 44% of the age of children 13 to 24 months and 54% are female and the remaining 46% are of male sex workers. In terms of the level of knowledge about the multimicronutrients The 49 per cent of mothers who are in the supplementation program at the Lamay Health Center has a regular knowledge level on the multimicronutrients, 45% of mothers surveyed have a high level of knowledge about multimicronutrients and 6% have a low level of knowledge. On the other hand, regarding the use of multimicronutrients, you can see that the 75% of mothers make regular use of multimicronutrients and nearly a fifth (22%) of mothers make proper use of multimicronutrients, only 3% they have an improper level of use. In general, the mothers of boys and girls from 6 to 36 months of the Lamay Health Center have a level of regular knowledge and the use they give to the multimicronutrients is regularly adequate.
