Prostatic adenomectomy is a surgical treatment performed on men suffering from Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH). Still, its complications and risk factors are usually high in various institutions, and these complications can occur due to multiple factors. Objective: to determine the factors associated with Post Prostatic Adenomectomy complications due to Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia in HNAGV, 2018-2019, as well as the incidence, describe the factors of the person and the surgery that predispose or entail these complications. Method: A cross-sectional, analytical, retrospective study was conducted in the HNAGV, 2018-2019, in 197 patients who met the inclusion criteria. Results: In the results, a statistically significant association was found between obesity and the development of a Post Prostatic Adenomectomy complication with a P = 0.0001, OR = 3.808, Diabetes Mellitus with a P = 0.002, OR = 3.279, Arterial Hypertension with a P = 0.000, OR= 3.281, the consumption of anticoagulants or platelet antiaggregants with a P=0.005, OR=5.401, the volume of the prostate: Grade IV (> 80CC) with a P=0.021 and OR= 2.825, the use of catheter bladder before surgery with a P=0.0001, OR= 6.800. In conclusion, it was determined that the factors associated with post Prostatic Adenomectomy complications were Obesity, Diabetes Mellitus, High Blood Pressure, consumption of anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents, prostate volume: grade IV (>80 cc), and the use of bladder catheter before surgery.
