Background: Pulmonary Echinococcus Granulosus is a zoonosis that is part of an important public health problem of high social relevance. It is a preventable and curable disease if diagnosed early. Objective: To determine the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of Echinococcus Granulosus Pulmonary in hospitalized patients during 2015-2019 at the Antonio Lorena Hospital, Cusco. Methods: Descriptive, retrospective and observational study. The population consisted of all patients with a clinical, imaging and/or serological diagnosis of Echinococcus Granulosus Pulmonary hospitalized during the period January 2015 to December 2019 at the Antonio Lorena Hospital, Cusco. The medical records and the operative report of 59 cases were reviewed. Results: 52.5% were women, the majority were between 21 and 30 years old (30.5%) and were from Cusco (89.8%). 72.9% had contact with definitive hosts, 22.1% with intermediate hosts, in addition the personal history was evidenced in 27.1% and no patient had a family history of this disease. The length of illness in the majority was between 1 to 6 months (45.8%) and the main symptom was cough (86.4%). The most used diagnostic aid test was the chest X-ray (93.2%); the ELISA test was only reactive in 15.3%. The most used therapy was surgical, with the Lobectomy technique (42.9%) in most cases and postoperative complications occurred in 11.4%. Conclusions: It is evidenced that Echinococcus Granulosus Pulmonary occurs with a slight predominance in young women between 21 and 30 years old from Cusco, with positive epidemiological antecedents. All patients showed to be symptomatic, with a time of illness between 1 to 6 months. Chest X-ray is the most widely used diagnostic test unlike serological tests. The predominant treatment is surgical with a favorable evolution.
