The present research work entitled “ LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICES OF SELF-EXAMINATION OF MAMAS IN STUDENTS OF TECHNICAL NURSING OF THE UPPER TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE URUSAYHUA, QUILLABAMBA - CUSCO 2018 “; whose objective was to determine the level of knowledge and practices of breast self-examination in students of Technical Nursing of the Higher Technological Institute Urusayhua, Quillabamba - Cusco 2018. To analyze this relationship. Methodology: A descriptive and transversal study was carried out. The population was constituted by nursing students who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, for the study a non-probabilistic sampling was used with a sample of 120 students. A questionnaire-type survey was applied to evaluate the variables, and to measure the level of knowledge was carried out through a form. The results were: Regarding the general characteristics of the students, 43% were found to be 16 to 20 years old, 48% were from the Santa Ana district, 68% were single. With respect to the level of knowledge of 100% breast self-examination; indicates that: 60% have a poor level of knowledge, 38% have regular and only 2% good. Regarding the level of practice, it is shown that: 72% have a poor level of practice, 18% have a regular level and only 10% have a good level of practice.
