There are anthropic activities that influence the characteristics of surface waters. The objective of the thesis was to evaluate the agricultural activities that affect the concentration of pesticides, physicochemical and microbiological properties of the Chumbao river, province of Andahuaylas, Apurimac, the year 2020, between the geographical coordinates 13°46'45. 2“ South-73°18'46.1“ West and 13°35'26.2“ South73°27'01.1“ West, studying ten sampling points (in flood and low water seasons) in the districts of San Jeronimo, Andahuaylas and Talavera. Surveys were applied to 56 cattle breeders, 54 guinea pig breeders, 52 quinoa producers, and 55 potato and corn producers to describe these activities, and the concentration of organophosphorus and organochlorine pesticides was quantified (EPA methods), The scope of the research was descriptive and the type of design was non-experimental longitudinal. Data were analyzed using R Studio, SPSS 25, Statgraphics centurion XVIII, Statistica V8, and Arcgis 10. 6. The main agricultural activities that are related to the properties studied were identified, no significant values of pesticides have been detected for the detection limits of the methodologies used, however at a descriptive level the use of several veterinary and agricultural products in the micro basin has been identified, in the case of cattle raising 3871 heads of cattle were found, In the case of raising guinea pigs, 695 producers used commercial anthelmintics containing different active ingredients, control of flies and ectoparasites is carried out with organophosphate and pyrethroid insecticides, 313 producers were found growing quinoa, and 849 producers were found growing potatoes and corn, which use pesticides and pesticides. It was possible to determine the spatial and temporal variation of the physicochemical and microbiological properties at the sampling points, which increase at the points where there is wastewater discharge. A principal component analysis also determined an incremental deterioration in the quality of the river water, which is caused by the anthropogenic activities developed in the basin, which are possibly the cause of the presence of diseases of infectious and parasitic origin in the population of the study area.
