The objective of this research work is to evaluate the efficiency of diatomaceous earth in the production of bocashi from organic waste in the district and province of Calca - 2023. This research was developed with a quantitative approach, explanatory scope using the completely randomized design (DCA) with factorial arrangement of A x B with a total of 27 experimental units, 09 treatments and three 03 repetitions that make up the experiment. The methodology involved cleaning and conditioning of the study area, collection, transport and segregation of organic waste (fruit, pruning and vegetables), weighing of organic waste, preparation of the bocashi beds by combining factor A (A1: fruit, A2: pruning and A3: vegetables) with factor B (B1: 0 g., B2: 300 g. and B3: 600 g. of diatomaceous earth), daily monitoring of temperature, pH and humidity with turning every 2 days, sample collection and laboratory analysis after 10 and 20 days, daily monitoring of temperature, pH and humidity with turning every 2 days, sample collection and laboratory analysis after 10 and 20 days. The results obtained show that there is a significant difference in the majority of treatments under an analysis of variance and the Tukey contrast test with a probability of 0.05 determined that treatment 3 (A1: fruit remains x B2: 600 g of diatomaceous earth) was the one that presented the best results obtaining a humidity of 32.1%, nitrogen with 1.8%, phosphorus with 1.2%, potassium with 4.6%, organic matter reaching 50.9%, electrical conductivity 65.1 dS/m, C/N ratio with 13.5 and apparent density with 649 kg/m3. 9%, electrical conductivity 65.1 dS/m, C/N ratio 13.5 and apparent density 649 kg/m3. In conclusion, the efficiency of diatomaceous earth and different types of organic wastes on physical, chemical and degradation time parameters in the production of bocashi is shown.
