The present study is descriptive correlational research with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional design, whose objective was to determine family violence and academic performance of the students of the Professional School of Nursing of the National University of San Antonio Abad del Cusco. The study used the survey technique and documentary analysis under the instrument of the questionnaire for family violence and the registration form for academic performance, with a sample of 62 students selected in a non-probabilistic and intentional way. The data collection instruments were subjected to a reliability and validation test by expert judgment. IBM SPSS v25 software was used for the processing and analysis of the data obtained. The results show that 32.3% of the students with very low achievement had serious family violence, 28.2% had mild violence, and 37.9% had no violence. Spearman's rho correlation test showed that there is an inverse relationship between family violence and academic performance, that is, the lower the family violence, the higher the academic performance of the students of the Professional School of Nursing.
