Aims to describe the manifestations of the climacteric and modalities of self-care in women of the rural community of Rayampata of the Province de Calca- Cusco - 2022. A qualitative paradigm was used and it was framed in an ethnographic approach. The research population was climacteric women from the community of Rayampata, resorting to the application of interviews until the information was saturated, which were processed with the help of the Software for qualitative analysis ALTAS-ti. Results were obtained: The manifestations of the climacteric, which encompasses the emotional as well as the physical, since some women claimed to have noticed important changes such as in sight, weight, skin and body aches, etc. Emphasizing that some did not perceive some of these changes. As well as they practice different ways of self-care to alleviate physical and emotional discomfort by applying their customs and traditional medicine in their daily lives, including a variety of nutrients and vitamins based on natural and animal products in their diet. Conclusions the manifestations of the climacteric and the self-care measures in the women of the rural community of Rayampata are varied, becoming opposite as expressed by each interviewee, which can be evidenced in the case of the change in sexual desire, irritability and consumption of red meat that in some women increased while in others it decreased, however, some more generalized changes were observed, such as the presence of hot flashes and the use of traditional medicine.
