The present study aimed to determine the level of relationship between family social climate and social media addiction among students of secondary educational institutions in the city of Urubamba in 2023. Methodologically, it followed a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental design, basic research type, and a descriptive-correlational depth. The population consisted of 690 enrolled students, and a probabilistic sampling resulted in a sample of 246 students. The results showed that 11.4% of the students considered having an inadequate family social climate, 56.5% a regular family social climate, and 32.1% an adequate family social climate. Regarding social media addiction, 10.2% of the students presented a low level of addiction, 57.3% a regular level, and 32.5% a high level of addiction. It was concluded that, according to the correlation coefficient between "Social Media Addiction" and "Family Social Climate," there was an association of -0.640. This value indicated a negative and significant correlation between family social climate and social media addiction among students of the two secondary institutions in the city of Urubamba in 2023. This suggested that the family environment could have a significant impact on the degree of social media addiction in this group of students.
