The current investigation titled: “KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE ON PREVENTION OF LANGUAGE PROBLEMS OF CHILDREN AGED 2 TO 3 YEARS OLD, IN MADRES DEL CS SAN JERÓNIMO CUSCO 2021” Its objective was to determine the level of knowledge and practice on the prevention of language problems in children from 2 to 3 years old. Where the study was descriptive, cross-sectional and prospective in scope. With a population of 180 mothers who attended the San Jerónimo Health Center, the sample being 78 mothers. The inclusion criteria were mothers with children aged 2 to 3 years who voluntarily signed the informed consent, within the exclusion criteria were mothers who refused to participate. The type of sampling was non-probabilistic. The technique used was the interview, its instrument the questionnaire where it was validated by 3 experts, of which the reliability test was applied to the instrument and it was calculated based on Cron Bach's Alpha. RESULTS: From the investigation it was obtained that 47.4% of mothers between 26 and 35 years old; 80.8% are cohabiting; 52.6% have secondary education; 42.3% have an independent job; 57.7% have 2 children and 80.8% spoke Quechua and Spanish. About knowledge of prevention of language problems, 84.6% of mothers have low knowledge and 15.4% have regular knowledge; Regarding prevention practices, 88.5% of the mothers have inadequate practices for the prevention of language problems; 10.3% refer regular practices and 1.3% have an adequate practice.
