The present thesis was realized in the city of Cusco, the investigation was oriented to the study of the compression and tensile properties of concrete samples f'c = 210 kg /cm2 replacing in weight percentages (0.25%, 0.50% and 1.00% ) Of the coarse aggregate with Nylon fibers (key macramé) key number 18 at lengths of 3cm and 5cm, the concrete mix was made with coarse aggregate of Vicho, fine sand of Cunyac (30%), fine sand of Red Mine (70%) And Portland cement type IP, the tests were performed at ages 7 and 28 days. In the procedural stage of the investigation, the respective tests were performed on both the aggregates and the fiber that was used, concluding that the materials comply with the requirements of the standards, thus guaranteeing their good quality for later use. Then the design of mixtures was continued based on the traditional methodology of ACI211.1 obtaining a suitable design (economic and functional) to later elaborate the cylindrical specimens (briquettes). In the stage of preparation of tests in the fresh concrete the consistency parameters were verified for each variation of length (3cm and 5cm) and percentage (0.25%, 0.50% and 1.00%) of nylon fiber with the Abrams cone based In the ACI and ASOCRETO methods, with the obtained mixture, cylindrical specimens of 15 cm diameter and 30 cm high were prepared for compression and tensile tests, resulting in the percentage of addition considerably affecting the strength of the concrete. After 7 and 28 days, the respective tests were performed on the hardened concrete, so the specimens received the appropriate handling (transfer to the laboratory and placement in the compression equipment), to be experienced in this equipment, being able to obtain the resistance to compression and indirect traction. Before each test, each specimen was weighed. According to the results, at 7 days, with 3cm and 5cm of the substituted Nylon fiber, the hardened concrete had no increase in the compressive strength, in terms of tensile strength when the proportions of 0.25% were substituted, 0.50% and 1.00% with 3 cm increases to 22.36 kg / cm2, respectively, with respect to the standard concrete (20.81 kg / cm2). At 28 days it was observed that replacing the 0.25% to 3cm ratio increasesthe compressive strength by 1.01% (275.92 kg / cm2) relative to the standard concrete (273.16 kg / cm2) and in the case of a hardened concrete subjected to tensile an increase was observed when replacing the proportion of 1.00% with 3cm of 1.71% (25.19 kg / cm2) with respect to the standard concrete (24.77 kg / cm2).
