Tactical urbanism is presented as an urban alternative that aims to transform public space and give it urban life. It involves collaborative planning, development, and implementation with citizens, with the objective of improving the built environment. In this sense, citizen participation emerges as a fundamental necessity throughout the process. Based on this, the present study aims to develop a guide that includes strategies of tactical urbanism for the recovery of public spaces located in hillside areas. Additionally, the experience of the pilot plan carried out in Urb. Balconcillo, located in the city of Cusco, is shared. This neighborhood is characterized by being a consolidated area with defined public spaces, where residential use prevails and there is local commerce. During the study's development, the need to provide guidance and improve the situation of these spaces has been observed, employing tactical solutions that promote social movement and generate new community dynamics. The objective is to achieve a reappropriation of space, making use of limited and short-term resources, while also providing relevant information for long-term planning.
