The relationship between levels of depression and resilience in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus treated in a General Hospital of Cusco. In this research, 148 patients were evaluated who regularly go to the External Endocrinology office of the Regional Hospital of Cusco during the months October and November 2016, to which the Beck Depression Inventory and the Resilience Scale of Wagnild and Young were applied, instruments with high reliability and adapted to the Peruvian population, which measured levels of depression and resilience factors such as level of acceptance of oneself and of life and level of com personal competition. The results indicated that there is an inverse relationship between depression and resilience; a high number of patients have high resilience (92.6%) and normal (37.2%), mild (9%) and moderate (13.5%) levels of depression. In research the self-acceptance and life acceptance resilience factor is falls by 92.6%; The resilience factor of personal competence is high at 41.2%, which expresses how they face their life at the beginning and the process of the disease stage.
