The objective of the research carried out was to carry out zoning of environmental quality assessment for daytime noise as a tool for the prevention and control of noise pollution in the Wanchaq district. For this, the grid method, recommended by RM Nº227-2013-MINAM, was used to determine monitoring points throughout the territory of the area under study and carry out daytime measurements of environmental noise. These measurements were carried out using a second-class integrating sound level meter, which measured the A-weighted sound pressure level at the different monitoring points. Once the results were obtained, they were compared with Supreme Decree 085-2003-PCM and the zoning of the entire territory studied was carried out through acoustic maps, which were created and constructed using the Kriging tool of the ArcGis software, whose The results allowed us to identify the critical and noncritical areas of noise pollution in the Wanchaq district, which in turn allowed us to design a strategy for the prevention and control of noise pollution, therefore, with the objective of mitigating noise pollution in he. Wanchaq district, effective zoning has been implemented as a key tool. In addition, a long-term action plan has been established that contains concrete actions suggested for implementation by the competent authorities, with the purpose of significantly reducing the effects of this pollution in the future.
