Introduction: Cholelithiasis is a disease characterized by the presence of gallstones inside the gallbladder. Alterations of the biliary tract affect a significant proportion of the world's population. Being one of the most important and old health problems that affects man. Currently it is estimated that approximately cholelithiasis affects between 10 and 20% of the adult population in developed countries, so it is important to make an adequate diagnosis supported by the ancillary exams in this case would be the ultrasound. The aim of the study is to correlate ultrasound and surgical findings in cholecystectomized patients in the hospitals of the City of Cusco during the period 2012-2016. Material and Methods: This is a descriptive, cross-sectional, retrospective and correlational study. The design of the research is observational. We reviewed 376 clinical records of cholecystectomized patients from hospitals in the city of Cusco, such as Hospital Antonio Lorena, Cusco Regional Hospital and Hospital National Adolfo Guevara Velasco. For the statistical analysis, descriptive statistics were used with the use of frequency tables, arithmetic mean and standard deviation, and for the analysis of inferential statistics the nonparametric tests U of Mann Whitney and Wilcoxon and the Chi square test were used. Results: Vesicular pathology affects women more frequently in 80%, mean age of patients affected is 47 years with a DS of ± 15.3 years; 66% of the patients entered by external office while 34% by the emergency service. The most frequently performed surgical treatment was laparoscopic cholecystectomy with 93% of the cases. In the ultrasound findings, the thickness of the wall and the presence of calculi in the gallbladder were the most relevant data. According to Braghetto's classification, both ultrasound and intraoperative, type II is the most frequent in the hospitals of the City of Cusco. Conclusions: From the results of the investigation it is concluded that there is a significant correlation between the ultrasound findings versus the surgical ones; 75% for type I, 95% for type IIA, 72% for IIB and 39% for type III.
