Abstract: La investigación: “CARACTERÍSTICAS PERSONALES Y CLÍNICAS DE NIÑOS QUE RECIBEN TRATAMIENTO DE SULFATO FERROSO- CENTRO DE SALUD SAN SALVADOR, CUSCO 2016”. Tuvo como objetivo: determinar las características personales y clínicas de los niños de 6 a 36 meses que reciben tratamiento de sulfato ferroso, diseño de tipo descriptivo y retrospectivo, con una muestra de 72 niños. La técnica utilizada fue la observación y el instrumento fue una ficha de observación documentaria. RESULTADOS: El 65.3% son niños de 6 – 11 años y 4.2% representaron los niños de 25 a 36 meses; 59.7% son mujeres y 40.3% son varones, 49.1% son primer o segundo hijos. En las comunidades de Siusa y Umachurco existe mayor cantidad de niños. 34.7% son madres con primaria completa y 66.7% recibieron lactancia materna no exclusiva, 52.8 % tienen anemia leve, 45.8% anemia moderada y 1.4% anemia severa, 66.7% nacieron en el Centro de Salud, 68.1% de los niños tienen peso normal, 65.3% presenta una talla normal y 2.8% presentan desnutrición, 22.8% tienen talla baja y 12.3% presentaron riesgo de talla baja, 65.3% presento un episodio de EDAs, 47.3% no presentaron ningún caso de IRAs. El 61.1% son niños nacidos a término, 58.3% registraron la entrega de 3 a 5 frascos de sulfato ferroso, 66.6% se encuentran actualmente en tratamiento, en 48.6% de las Historias Clínicas se encuentra registrado solo una visita domiciliaria, 80.6% de los niños con anemia fueron controlados a los 12 meses, sobre los efectos colaterales al tratamiento 44.4% de los niños presentaron estreñimiento de igual forma sólo en 43.1% de las Historias Clínicas se encuentra registrado como medida complementaria la consejería de consumo de vísceras.

The investigation “PERSONAL AND CLINICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CHILDREN WHO RECEIVE TREATMENT OF FERROUS SULFATE – SAN SALVADOR cusco HEALTH CENTER-2016” had as objective to determine the personal and clinical characteristics of children from 6 to 36 months who receive treatment of ferrous sulfate. Descriptive and retrospective design with a sample of 72 children. The technique used was observation and the instrument was an observation sheet and the instrument was a documented observation sheet. Results: 65.3% are children from 0 to 11 years old and 4.2 represent children from 25 to 36 months. 59, 7 are women and 40.3% are men. 49.1% are the first or second child.In the communities surrounding siusa and Umachurco there is a greater number of children. 34.7% were mothers with complete primary education and 66.7% received non-exclusive breastfeeding, 52.8 had mild anemia. 45.8% had moderate anemia and 1.4% had severe anemia, 66.7 were born in the health center, 68.1% had a full weight, 65.3% had a normal height and 2.8% had malnutrition. 22.8% were children with low sizes and 12.3% a risk to be of low size 65.3% presented an episode of Acute Diarrheal Disease (EDAs) 47.3% did not present any case of Acute Respiratory Infections (IRAs) 61.1% are children born on time, 58.3% registered delivery of 3 to 5 bottles of ferrous sulfate .66.6% are currently in treatment 48.6% of clinical histories are registered with a single home visit. 80.6% of children with anemia were monitored at 12 months, in terms of side effects of treatment 44.4% of children with anemia presented constipation in the same way only 43.1% of the clinical histories counts with the registration as a complementary measure consume vicerash.
