Objective: To determine the influence of the Socio-Family Situation on the risk of Depression of the Elderly who go to the Poroy Health Post, Cusco 2018 - 2019. Methodology: Descriptive correlational, retrospective, cross-sectional, the master population was made up of 54 Clinical Histories of Older Adults who attended the Poroy Health Post during the period 2018 to 2019, the technique used was the Data Observation Guide. Results: Within the general characteristics of the Older Adults who attend the Poroy Health Post, Cusco 2018 - 2019, 50,0% belong to the age of 70 to 79 years, 53,7% are female, 48,1% are married, 50,0% have no studies, and 44,4% have an independent job. Regarding the Socio-Family Situation, 59,3% of older adults are at social risk, 25,9% have a social problem and 14,8% have a good or acceptable social situation. Likewise, in relation to the Risk of Depression, 42, 6% do not present a risk of depression, 37, 0% severe depression and 20, 4% mild or moderate depression. The socio-family situation that influences the risk of depression are the socio-family situation with social risk and the socio-family situation with social problem. Applying Pearson's Chi Chi-square with a statistical value of 15,718 and a level of significance α = 0, 05, as p = 0,003 less than α = 0, 05, it is concluded that the socio-family situation significantly influences the risk of depression in the elderly who attend the Poroy Health Post.
