This study aims to identify and demonstrate the degree of production of voice and speech in the professional performance of university teachers, at the Graduate School of the Andean University of Cusco - 2020. The study also seeks to identify and expose the knowledge and habits that university teachers have about the care and use of their voice and speech during their performance as a university teacher at the Graduate School. The Methodology for this research work was descriptive, not experimental cross-sectional, which allows to observe the reality and the problematic condition as it is given in its natural context to analyze them. The sample is 35 teachers and 100 students; the application of the instrument was carried out in the facilities of the Graduate School, with the corresponding permits, it was requested to fill out the surveys of teachers and students at free times in the respective classrooms with the support and authorization from teachers. Teachers responded to a survey consisting of 11 questions, which seeks to know the university teacher's feelings about his or her own voice and way of speaking in his professional performance as a university teacher and also allows to collect information about your knowledge and habits in caring for your voice. Students respond to a survey of 07 questions which allow to know the observation and perception of the student about the voice and speech of the university teacher. The results obtained, we can conclude that the degree of production of the voice and speech have a significant impact on the professional performance of university teachers by reaching the following conclusions: Most teachers are over 50 years of age and over 16 years of teaching service, a large percentage of teachers teach at another school, in addition to teaching classes on weekends at graduate school, and some of them use their voice and speak in other activities such as singing, exhibitions and seminars. Being exposed to generate a high degree of damage or injury to the voice as a result of vocal abuse in their verbal production, by having demanding hours of class dictation.
