Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an emerging infectious disease that was first reported in Wuhan, China, and has subsequently spread around the world and has spread throughout the world to date, in Especially in Cusco, which is one of the cities affected so far. Methods: we perfomed a case-control study of hospitalized patients in the COVID and ICU-COVID services with the diagnosis of COVID-19 infections admitted to the HNAGV - EsSalud and Regional Hospital of Cusco-MINSA, Cusco. Results: COVID predictors of admission to the ICU were: Comorbidities (Obesity, Arterial Hypertension, Cardiovascular Disease and Anemia), variation in vital signs (Oxygen Saturation, Heart Rate, Respiratory Rate, Others); Sings and Symptoms (fatigue, dyspnea, muscle pain or myalgia, diarrhea, Capillary Filling) and altered auxiliary tests (Tomographic finding, CRP, D-dimer, LDH, Ferritin, Procalcitonin, PaO2 / FiO2, Time of Prothrombin, Leukocytes, Lymphocytes, Neutrophils, Erythrocytes , Hematocrit, Hemoglobin, Platelets, Glucose, Urea, Creatinine, GPT, GOT and Alkaline Phosphatase).
