RESEARCH TITLE: PERSONAL AND CLINICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF INTOXICATED PATIENTS BY PHOSPHORATED ORGAN FOR SUICIDAL PURPOSES IN THE EMERGENCY SERVICE OF THE REGIONAL HOSPITAL OF CUSCO - 2018. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To determine the personal and clinical characteristics of patients treated by phosphorous poisoning for suicidal purposes in the Emergency Service of the Cusco Regional Hospital. 2018. METHODOLOGICAL DESIGN: This study is part of the Retrospective and Transversal type, with a selection of 147 Clinical Histories. RESULTS: 53.4% of the patients are female and 46.6% male, 41.1% of the patients are between 14 and 20 years old on the other hand 6.2% are between 31 and 40 years old, 49.3% of the patients are single and 4.41% are widowers, 52.7% are patients with secondary education, and 1.4% are illiterate, 46.6% of patients are students, 16.4% are in dependent work. 91.0% of patients had a final diagnosis of severe intoxication, and 9.0% were patients with acute intoxication. 69.3% of patients had a favorable evolution, and 0.7% patients who died, 78% have Clinical Manifestations 35.9%, patients where gastric lavage procedures were performed and 0.7% were used mechanical ventilation, 70.0% had a history of phosphorus organ poisoning due to suicide attempt and 30.0% had no history of suicide, 30.8% with emotional problems, 6.2% patients with chronic diseases.
