Anxiety is an emotional response to a possible threat of danger, it is understood that the visit to the dentist is a situation that generates more anxiety, where many times the patient stops coming to the consultation being a consequence of this the abandonment of treatments and if we add to this the physical, physiological and hormonal changes that the pregnant woman goes through, the early diagnosis of various oral pathologies is not reached, causing future major problems for both the baby and the mother. Objective. - To identify the level of dental anxiety in pregnant women before dental care at the Calca-Cusco Health Center, 2022. Material and method. - This was a non-experimental, descriptive, cross- sectional study; it was made up of 150 pregnant women, 50 pregnant women from each gestational trimester were considered adolescents to older adults who attended the dental service from January to April, the survey was applied to all pregnant women who met the inclusion criteria already established. Before filling out the survey, the purpose of the study was explained to them, it was only carried out with prior informed consent and they were given a maximum of 5 minutes, as recommended by the author. Results. - 48% of the pregnant women suffered from moderate anxiety and 25% from mild anxiety, and there was a significant relationship between age and anxiety level, where adolescent pregnant women presented a 42.9% high anxiety level, likewise single pregnant women presented a 41.9% high anxiety level as well as pregnant women in their third trimester of gestation. Conclusions. - The predominant level of anxiety of the pregnant women who attended the Calca Health Center was moderate anxiety, with a predominance of adolescent pregnant women and those in their third trimester of gestation.
