For the present work of investigation the rural tourism of the community of Patacancha was studied, for it the following title of investigation was raised “THE STUDY OF THE RURAL TOURISM OF THE COMMUNITY OF PATACANCHA - DISTRICT OF OLLANTAYTAMBO OF THE REGION CUSCO - 2017“. The general objective of the study was to describe the rural tourism of the community of Patacancha in the district of Ollantaytambo Cusco - 2017. The present research work was a descriptive, qualitative, nonexperimental study and the survey was based on a population. Of 1248 which are inhabitants of the community of Patacancha, had as sample by means of a formula 170 settlers. A questionnaire was applied with 15 questions, which were with closed questions, from which 64% of the population between 18 and 27 years of age with a secondary level education affirmed that they carry out rural activities in the community. Most of the people surveyed are in agreement with these activities, mentioning that the community of Patacancha is in agreement with the cultural tourism developed in the area, they also state that they still carry out agricultural activities of their ancestors, representing 38% of the total of the surveyed inhabitants. Arriving at the conclusion that at the moment of carrying out tourist activities, due to the inadequate management of the resources and frequency of visits in the area, in mention of this, the activities must be regulated in an organized way, so that the environment can be conserved.
