Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are a public health concern worldwide, especially in the pediatric patient group under 12 years of age. These infections can cause a range of complications and, in some cases, lead to chronic health problems if not adequately treated. The present research, entitled: Microbiological profile and bacterial susceptibility in pediatric patients under 12 years of age with urinary tract infection at the Adolfo Guevara Velasco national Hospital in Cusco 2020 - 2022. Its objective is to analyze the microbiological profile and bacterial susceptibility in pediatric patients under 12 years of age with urinary tract infection at the Adolfo Guevara Velasco National Hospital in Cusco. The research has a descriptive analytical methodology, with a retrospective observational cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of a total of 342 observation subjects, all of whom were pediatric patients who met the inclusion criteria for the study. In order to obtain a representative sample, 181 patients were randomly selected from this population. The study led to the following conclusion: there are four most recurrent etiological agents (Escherichia coli, Proteus spp., Klebsiella spp. and Enterobacter sp.) in pediatric patients under 12 years of age with urinary tract infection at the Hospital Nacional Adolfo Guevara Velasco in Cusco, which are sensitive to Amikacin and Ertapenem in all the cases analyzed. That is, both Amikacin and Ertapenem remain effective antibiotic treatment options, as these antibiotics have been shown to be effective against these pathogens in all cases tested.
