The study entitled: FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH PHYSIOLOGICAL ICTERICIA IN JUST PREMATURE BORN OF THE NEONATOLOGY SERVICE OF THE HOSPITAL ANTONIO LORENA, CUSCO - 2018. Objective: To determine the factors associated with physiological jaundice in preterm infants of the neonatology service of the Antonio Lorena Hospital, Cusco - 2018. The methodology used was of a descriptive, correlational type, of a nonexperimental design of cross-section, the technique was observation which considered 70 medical records of newborns in the neonatology service of the Antonio Lorena Hospital, Cusco. The general characteristics of premature newborns, it was found that: 58.6% of newborns are male, 85.7% of newborns are underweight, 74.3% of newborns are moderate premature, 55.7% of newborns had a dystonic delivery, 45.7% of newborns have mixed breastfeeding and 84.3% of newborns do not have polycythemia. In relation to physiological jaundice it was possible to identify that: 70.0% of newborns have a diagnosis of early physiological jaundice, 25.7% have intermediate physiological jaundice and 4.3% late physiological igtericia. The identified factors related to physiological jaundice were: the weight of the newborn with a value of p = 0.004, the gestational age also with a value of p = 0.000, type of delivery with a value of p = 0.022.
