In the present study, it was chosen as a case study to a small distributor of grocery products trade credits granted to microentrepreneurs winemakers Cusco. The company chosen is Milygar Representaciones EIRL, it operates more than 10 years ago in the city of Cusco, has a sales force of 15 salesmen and reaches an annual turnover of trade credit than 4 billion soles a year. The overall objective of this research is to describe the management of commercial credit in the company Representaciones Milygar EIRLtda. the city of Cusco during the year 2014. To achieve this goal we have started a general conceptualization of trade credit and determination of its main dimensions are: policies, collection policies and credit risk policies, credit limits, to which it has been added, in addition, levels of trade credit granted and collected during 2014. We used two instruments of research, a survey of all the employees of the company, and document review data-oriented collection of statistical data held by the company. The results of the investigation confirm the established claims in the survey, therefore, it is concluded that there are weaknesses in the management of commercial credit company. However the level of collections borders the 75% annual credit sales.
