The objective of this research was to regulate the relationship between the contain of lunch boxes index and the risk of dental caries in children from 2 to 5 years of age of the cradle garden Emanuel in Santiago district, Cusco 2018. This research has a level of descriptive-correlational research, is quantitative nature, observational and has a cross-sectional, non-experimental and correlational design. Made up of a population of 181 children from the Emanuel garden crib in the district of Santiago. The sample was non-probabilistic, census with 181 children. The technique to determine the content of the lunch boxes was the survey, which determined the cariogenic potential and the technique to determine the risk of dental caries was the ceo-d index. Informed consent was requested for the collection of data respecting all ethical standards. For the data analysis, a systematization matrix was used; the descriptive analysis was carried out and for the relationship between the variables: the analysis was bivariate; worked with a level of significance of 0.05 The results founded were that the risks of low, moderate, moderate and high caries in relation to the present study are no related to cariogenic potential of the contain of lunch boxes. According to Kendall's Tau c statistical test, this association was not significant p = 0.246 (p> 0.05), its means that the contains of lunch boxes is not associated to the risk of dental caries. The conclusion was that no relationship was found between the risk of dental caries and the content of the lunch boxes since dental caries is a pathology that appears due to several factors. The caries risk found in the study population was high cariogenic risk.
