This research thesis explores the mix design of a self-compacting concrete (SCC) and the dosage of hyperplasticizing additive that the mix requires, therefore the purpose of this research is to reveal the properties of filling capacity, resistance to segregation, and passing capacity of self-compacting concrete in the fresh state. And the compressive strength, modulus of elasticity and Poisson's coefficient of self-compacting concrete in the hardened state. First, tests were carried out on the aggregates that were used to evaluate their properties and ensure that they met the necessary parameters to be applied to the mix design. For the dosage of the concrete, a standard concrete of 0.75% additive was proposed and for the comparison of properties, dosages of 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5% and 2.0% additive were proposed. All these five designs were subjected to concrete tests in the fresh state (V funnel, L-box, U-box, inverted cone) and in the hardened state, three tests were carried out per dosage at 3 days, 7 days, 14 days and 28 days of curing to be subjected to compression resistance, elasticity modulus and Poisson tests. In order to evaluate and carry out the comparison process. With the results obtained, they were compared. Favorable results were obtained for the design in terms of comparison with our standard design. The dosage of the additive significantly influences the physical-mechanical properties of the design of a SCC.
