The research work entitled: “SOCIAL AND DEMOGRAPHIC PROFILE OF ILLICIT DRUG CONSUMERS IN YOUNG PEOPLE FROM 18 TO 24 YEARS OF AGE WHICH ARE REPORTED IN THE ANTI-DRUG PNP CUSCO DEPARTMENT - 2017“, aimed to: Describe the social and demographic profile of drug users illicit in young people from 18 to 24 years old who are reported in the PNP Anti-Drug Department Cusco - 2017. Methodology: descriptiveexploratory, cross-sectional and retrospective study; made from the cases reported in the Anti-Drug Department of the city of Cusco. Regarding the social profile of illicit drug users, it was found that the most important aspects were: 55.10% of young people reported consuming marijuana; 51.00% make a consumption of two to three times per week; 55.10% habitually consume on the street or in a park; 65.30% of young people started between the ages of 16 and 17; 55.10% began its consumption because it had family or personal problems; 69.40% of young people reported had consumed only one type of drug; 59.20% consume and also micro commercialize; 91.80% of young people indicated that no member of their family consumed, 93.90% indicated that they did not have friends who consumed. Regarding the demographic profile: 51.00% of consumers are between 18 and 20 years old; 73.50% of young people reported were male; 59.20% indicated being single; 61.20% indicated that they do not have children; 67.30% had a secondary education degree; 77.60% indicated that they came from a family with the presence of a father or mother and also siblings; 77.60% indicated that they are self-employed, 73.50% self-pay.
