This research reforestation and sustainable development in the community of Assumption of the Manu National Reserve, aims to determine the degree of relationship between reforestation and sustainable development in the community, addressing theories related to management and reforestation sustainable development. The research approach was quantitative, descriptive scope - no correlational and experimental design - cross. The population consisted of 50 families in the community of Asuncion, involved in the reforestation project, the techniques used were observation and survey instruments observation sheet, video equipment and images and the certificate of questions or questionnaire respectively, the results were processed using the SPSS software. The general conclusion that was reached was as follows: In the Community of Asuncion in the Manu National Reserve , it was determined that 90 % of residents indicate that the reforestation activity is almost always presented of which 62 % said that sustainable development is almost always present , and 28 % indicate that sometimes perceive sustainable development in their community , all from the strengthening of social ties , their family economy and the environment in which they develop their activities accordingly 95 % confidence by chi-square statistic can say that there is moderate positive correlation between reforestation and sustainable development in the Community of Assumption of the Manu National Reserve , with p=0.000 < 0.05, where the degree determined relationship by Pearson correlation is 56.7 %
