Abstract: Antecedentes: La presencia de depresión en médicos se evidenció en estudios, llegando
hasta 74,2%, las variables implicadas son estado civil, genero, guardias nocturnas, la
edad.
Objetivo: Caracterizar el trastorno depresivo en el personal médico de tres hospitales de
Cusco
Métodos: Estudio descriptivo, exploratorio, analítico, transversal y prospectivo.
Población conformada por 150 médicos de tres hospitales que cumplen los criterios de
inclusión y exclusión. Seleccionados por muestreo no probabilístico. El instrumento de
evaluación fue el Inventario Beck para depresión. Para el análisis de la información se
utilizó el paquete estadístico SPSS V. 25. Se comparan resultados mediante prueba chi
cuadrado.
Resultados: En nuestro estudio la prevalencia de depresión fue de 19%, 70% del personal
es masculino. El género, edad, los hijos, tipo de contrato, área de trabajo, tiempo de
servicio, especialidad y cargo administrativo no se asociaron con depresión. El estado
civil y guardias nocturnas se asociaron con depresión.
Conclusiones: Las variables estado civil y las guardias nocturnas están asociadas a la
depresión en el personal médico.
Background: The presence of depression in doctors was evidenced in studies, reaching up to 74.2%, the variables involved are marital status, gender, night guards, age. Objective: To characterize the depressive disorder in the medical staff of three hospitals in Cusco Methods: Descriptive, exploratory, analytical, cross-sectional and prospective study. Population made up of 150 doctors from three hospitals that meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Selected by non-probabilistic sampling. The evaluation instrument was the Beck Inventory for depression. For the analysis of the information, the statistical package SPSS V. 25 was used. Results are compared by chi-square test.
